Bodyshop Technician

Our client — a prestigious automotive brand in Oldbury— is looking for a skilled and reliable Bodyshop Technician to join their busy repair operation. Whether your background is in accident repair, panel work, MET, body repair or general Bodyshop duties, this is a great opportunity to join a professional and well-supported business.

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 basic + £6,000 Plus Bonus (Uncapped)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5.30pm (1 in 4Saturdays paid as overtime)

What you’ll be doing, and doing brilliantly
• Carrying out Bodyshop repairs to a high standard
• Completing repairs in line with manufacturer and company repair methods
• Assessing vehicle damage and identifying the work required
• Carrying out stripping, fitting, repair and replacement work where required
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and within agreed repair times
• Working closely with estimators, workshop management and other technicians to maintain workflow
• Completing quality checks to ensure repairs meet required standards
• Using appropriate tools, equipment and repair methods safely and correctly
• Keeping accurate records of work completed and reporting any additional repair requirements
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following Health & Safety procedures and Bodyshop processes at all times

What we’re looking for
• Previous experience working as a Bodyshop Technician, Body Repair Technician, MET Technician, Panel Technician or similar
• Strong understanding of accident repair and Bodyshop processes
• Experience within a main dealer, prestige or accident repair environment would be beneficial
• Ability to complete repairs accurately and to a high standard
• Good knowledge of manufacturer repair methods and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Relevant Bodyshop, automotive or accident repair qualifications would be advantageous
