Our client — a successful automotive dealership in Watford— is looking for a qualified Diagnostic Technician to join their established workshop team. Whether you’re currently working as a Diagnostic Technician, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Mechanic, or Service Technician, this is a strong opportunity to work within a professional environment, with a steady workflow and real earning potential.

What you’ll be doing (and doing brilliantly)

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to manufacturer standards
• Reviewing job cards and customer concerns to identify issues
• Ordering parts required to complete repairs efficiently
• Completing work within standard times and to a high standard
• Writing clear and accurate job cards and documentation
• Carrying out Vehicle Analysis Logs (VAL) on every vehicle
• Recording time correctly in line with warranty processes
• Conducting road tests and maintaining high-quality control

What we’re looking for

• Experience as a Diagnostic Technician / Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician / Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Background within a main dealer or busy workshop environment
• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• High attention to detail and pride in your work
• Team player with a professional, positive attitude
• Full UK driving licence
