Are you an experienced Workshop Supervisor ready to take ownership of a busy and well-structured workshop?

Our client, a successful automotive dealer group based near Kidderminster, is seeking a confident and organised Workshop Supervisor to oversee day-to-day workshop operations. This role combines hands-on technical oversight with leadership responsibility and offers long-term stability and career development.

This position would suit an experienced Workshop Supervisor, Senior Technician or Workshop Controller looking to step into a leadership-focused role with genuine responsibility.

What you’ll be doing (and doing brilliantly)

  • Supervising the daily operation of the workshop to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Managing job flow, technician productivity and workshop performance
  • Supporting technicians with diagnostics, technical guidance and job planning
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Overseeing vehicle inspections and health checks
  • Monitoring workshop KPIs, labour sales and operating costs
  • Working closely with Service Advisors and the Aftersales team to manage workload and customer expectations
  • Supporting warranty processes and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Maintaining accurate workshop records and systems, including Kerridge
  • Assisting with training and development of workshop staff
  • Managing holiday and sickness cover to maintain operational efficiency

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Controller or Senior Technician role
  • Automotive dealership experience essential
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Kerridge experience required
  • Solid understanding of workshop efficiency, productivity and compliance
  • Positive, professional and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
